Statement of Faith
Paragon Christian University is a Christ-centered institution. The following Statement of Faith expresses the historic, biblical Christian faith on which every program, course, and activity of the University rests.
1. The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible, the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, the final authority for faith and life.

2. The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory.

3. God the Father
We believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, who is holy, loving, and sovereign over all things.

4. Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary and atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His present ministry as our High Priest and Advocate.

5. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates and indwells every believer, and empowers and gifts the Church for holy living, service, and witness.

6. Humanity
We believe every human being is created in the image of God and possesses dignity and worth. Through Adam's disobedience all people have sinned and are separated from God, and cannot be restored by their own efforts.

7. Salvation
We believe salvation is the free gift of God's grace, received through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, not by works. All who believe are born again, justified, and adopted into God's family.

8. The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers. Christ has given the Church the ordinances of water baptism and the Lord's Supper, and has commissioned it to make disciples of all nations.

9. The Christian Life
We believe followers of Christ are called to love God with all their heart and their neighbor as themselves, to pursue holiness, and to serve faithfully as stewards of the gifts God has entrusted to them.

10. Marriage and Family
We believe marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God between one man and one woman, and that the family is the foundation of a healthy church and society.

11. The Sanctity of Life
We believe all human life is sacred from conception to natural death, because every person bears the image of God.

12. Last Things
We believe in the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ; the bodily resurrection of the dead; eternal life for those who believe; eternal separation from God for those who reject Him; and the new heaven and new earth.

All members of the Board of Directors, administration, and faculty affirm this Statement of Faith. Students are welcome from every Christian tradition; they are not required to sign it, but they study within a community shaped by it.
Philosophy of Christian Education
PCU believes that all truth is God's truth and that learning is an act of worship and stewardship. Education at PCU begins with the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7), is governed by Holy Scripture, and aims at the formation of the whole person, mind, heart, character, and calling, for service to Christ and His Church.
God is the source of knowledge.
Every discipline studies some part of God's creation or human life before Him, and is best understood in the light of Scripture.
Scripture is the final authority.
Where human learning and the Bible appear to conflict, PCU submits its conclusions to the authority of God's Word while pursuing honest, careful scholarship.
Education forms disciples.
Knowledge is joined to character and practice. Every course carries a scriptural foundation and every program includes supervised application in ministry.
The teacher is a mentor.
Faculty teach by example as well as instruction, and care for the spiritual growth of their students (2 Timothy 2:2).
Learning is for service.
PCU educates leaders to serve the Church and the world with excellence, humility, and integrity.
Access is a calling.
Low, uniform tuition and online delivery are deliberate choices so that believers in every nation may receive Christ-centered education.
Statement on Biblical Worldview
PCU teaches every subject from a biblical worldview: the conviction that the Bible gives a true and coherent account of reality, summarized in four movements.
Creation
God made all things good and made humanity in His image, so every field of study and every person has dignity and purpose.
Fall
Sin has corrupted human nature, relationships, and society, so students learn to recognize brokenness honestly.
Redemption
God reconciles sinners to Himself through Jesus Christ, so learning is directed toward restoration and faithful service.
Consummation
Christ will return and make all things new, so students work with hope, as stewards accountable to God.
Religious Identity and Religious Liberty
Paragon Christian University is a Christian religious institution. Its religious beliefs, expressed in the Statement of Faith, are sincerely held and govern its teaching, its employment, its community standards, and every University program and activity. PCU relies on the protections for religious organizations under the United States Constitution and federal and state law, including the right of a religious organization to employ persons who share its faith. PCU's racial nondiscrimination policy applies without exception.
Office of Spiritual Life
The Office of Spiritual Life, led by a University chaplain appointed by the President, cares for the spiritual welfare of students, faculty, and staff wherever they live. It offers virtual chapel (live and recorded), faculty-led devotionals and prayer guides, prayer partnerships among students, prayer requests and pastoral care (spiritual care, not clinical counseling, with referral to professional help when needed) at info@paragonchristianuniversity.com, and help finding settings for the Christian service requirement.

Co-Founder and Vice Chancellor
Pastor Dr. Johanna Obanor serves as Co-Founder and Vice Chancellor of Paragon Christian University. She brings a compassionate, faith-centered, and student-focused leadership voice to the University’s mission. Her heart is to encourage students, strengthen families, support ministry leaders, and help cultivate a Christ-centered academic environment where learners are welcomed, equipped, and inspired to fulfill their God-given calling.

Paragon Christian University operates as an independent faith-based Christian educational institution. PCU is not affiliated with, associated with, connected to, endorsed by, sponsored by, or legally linked to Paragon Christian Alliance Network or any similarly named organization.
