Academic Standards & Faith-Based Accreditation
Paragon Christian University is committed to excellence in Christian higher education.
Accreditation & Association
As a faith-based institution, the university aligns its academic programs and institutional practices with Christian educational standards through its association with the International Christian Accreditation Council (ICAC).
ICAC is a faith-based accrediting body focused on promoting quality, accountability, and leadership development within Christian education globally.
Important Accreditation Disclosure: ICAC is a private faith-based Christian accrediting body. PCU’s faith-based accreditation is religious and private in nature. It is not presented as U.S. Department of Education-recognized institutional accreditation, CHEA-recognized accreditation, regional accreditation, professional licensure accreditation, professional licensing approval, or government approval unless expressly stated and independently documented. Students should verify whether a PCU program meets their intended ministry, employment, licensing, ordination, transfer, or educational goals.
Where PCU and a faith-based accrediting or approval body share common Christian mission alignment, founder relationships, leadership relationships, board relationships, advisory relationships, or ministry relationships, PCU seeks to disclose that relationship transparently and maintain appropriate conflict-of-interest safeguards, review standards, documentation, and accountability.
State Authorization
Paragon Christian University operates under Florida Statute 1005.06 as a religious institution. As such, the institution is exempt from certain state requirements for licensure as a postsecondary educational institution.
Florida religious exemption status is not the same as state licensure, government accreditation, regional accreditation, professional licensure approval, or approval for employment, transfer, ordination, or licensing purposes. Students should verify whether a PCU program meets their personal, ministry, academic, professional, licensing, ordination, employment, or educational goals.
Degree Recognition
Paragon Christian University’s accreditation is faith-based and religious in nature. Recognition, transferability, professional licensing, employment acceptance, ordination acceptance, or acceptance by third parties may vary by institution, employer, denomination, organization, jurisdiction, and applicable policy. Prospective students are encouraged to review program details and determine whether a program meets their personal, ministry, academic, or professional goals.
